Help! Bfing while laying down

So many of you talk about how easy and wonderful bfing while laying down is. For the life of me, I cannot figure it out!!!! I've looked at several websites and read and looked at pics. I cannot figure out what to do. I've tried putting my arm under her head, tried it not under her head. I can't figure out how to not smother her. Like any position, their nose is supposed to not be smashed into the breast so they can breath. I can also tell she's not latching right because it feels like my nipple is being twisted. I've been trying off and on for a month now. Do I just need to wait until she's older and better at finding it?? Help!

Bump! I tried that in the hospital and had a heck of a time with it...I was so uncomfortable & helpless lol so I gave up on that one lol. I wish you better luck tho.

I lay with my arm under my head, her on a pillow and use my other hand to guide/support her. I have a large chest so took me a while to figure out too. I have to pull her body tight into my belly and her chest and head pulled away a little. If her nose gets covered and she cant breath properly she just pulls off

I lay him flat next to me, line him up with my boob, cup under my boob with the arm that's on top and with the arm that's round him on the bed i support the top of his back and gently nudge him on, when he has latched on i put a rolled up blanket or towel or anything along his back to hold him towards me then sometimes he falls asleep and rolls off and sometimes i sleep and find he has got himself back on again lol.. Sometimes he just wantsme km stop bein lazy and sit up tho lol x

@ta2edblondie Im probably not as big as some bfers. Right now Im a D, was a C before pregnancy.

its tricky with a small chest like me as well, i have to prop her up on my pillow and put something behind her so she doesnt roll back

I have finally been able to do this with my son! My daughter and I could never get it together. I used a nipple shield the whole time I nursed her(14 months).

This is Malia & I a few minutes ago. We have mastered this, it took a few days, but now I get more sleep at night
