* MY BABY DIED* UPDATE AT BOTTOM, WENT TO E.R.

edited July 2012 in Pregnant
*Ultra sound confirmed. Baby only measuring around 11 weeks. Thank you all for your support, I will be grieving today, but will try to get on later tonight. :'(

Sorry I don't feel like tagging at the moment.

RIP My little one.... Until we meet again...

I'm 14 weeks tmrw, I just had an ob appt today & they heard the heartbeat for a couple seconds & heard the baby kicking, but couldn't get the heartbeat real good. This evening I started noticing a dark discharge, now it's turning pinkish & almost red. I've never bled a drop with my previous 9 babies, only with 2 miscarriages. Idk what to do. Tmi, but did have sex last night. Could it take all day to get a bloody discharge from that? I'm feeling a little crampy like right before a period too. :( Do I go to hospital? Call doctor? Just rest? Can they even do anything at 14 weeks anyways? I'm getting scared.

  • At least call your doctor right away, they can instruct you from there.
  • I bled with my 3rd baby at 15.5 weeks, I think. It turned out to be partial placenta abruption. It repaired itself. I hope it's nothing serious!

  • @baileygoose I will do that if it gets worse, I don't think they'll do anything.

@fate I hope that's it.. I was bad & went jogging last Monday.. I never jogged or ran before, I'm trying to get in shape lol

  • @mama_kat Where would I go? To an er or my birthing center? I might if it gets worse, it's only about the size of a quarter about every hour or so the last couple hours.
  • Is it enough blood to fill a pad?

    Tagging correction- @bahamamama4828

  • @fate it's only the size of a quarter every hour so far.
  • This is my 9th baby and I have never bleed until this one scariest thing in my life. It felt like I started my period went to the bathroom and it looked like I started and then I passed what I thought was the baby it was a palm size blood clot. I went to hospital and I had another blood clot double the size of the fetus it was between the placenta and my uterus. I bleed til I was 14 weeks baby is ok. But I would definitely call the doctor if they heard the heartbeat and baby moving I'm sure all is fine but I would b checked out but blood at all and being pregnant scares the crap out of me lol.
  • @adding1more Wow! That would be scary! I would think I was miscarrying for sure if that happened. Did they say why that happened? I'm glad it turned out ok!
  • Up until 20 weeks they won't do anything, :( I would try to relax and drink plenty of fluids and call your OB on the morning. ER doctors have no specialty in obstetrics and tend to misdiagnose and put you through more worry. It doesn't sound like you are bleeding too much. If you start soaking a pad an hour then definitely go in.

You are in my prayers sweetie, try and relax.
  • i hope everything is okay! keep us updated!!
  • @mijita & @devins_mommy thank you! I'm going to rest & see what's going on in the morning. (or if I wake up in the middle of the night) I'll let you know tmrw. Thanks again.
  • It could be from sex, or a small subchorionic hemorrhage like adding1more told you about. I had a sch with my son at 11 weeks. I had a gush of blood down to my knees and he still had a heartbeat when I had an US. Put yourself on pelvic rest and drink lots of fluids for tonight. Call your doc in the morning though to see what they recommend. Fingers crossed for you and baby!!
  • Bleeding is scary. I wish we could feel baby move at conception, then we'd worry less. :(
  • @rtmommy thank you, but what exactly is pelvic rest? Lol

@fate I know! I'm not far enough to feel baby move yet darn it!
  • Personally, I would go to the ER just to be checked out, though there really isnt anything they can do at this point. I would just want to know. I had bleeding with david, but I was only around 6-8 weeks. They did an internal ultrasound to see the heartbeat. He was fine and 4 years old now :) Im pretty sure they arent overly concerned though unless you are needing to change pads ever hour or two like someone mentioned above. If you decide not to go in, definitely rest at least. Stay off your feet, no sex NO JOGGING lol.

  • Pelvic rest is a nice way of saying no sex. ;) haha
  • I bled this pregnancy and it was every time I had sex and when I say bled I mean gushed. Turned out I had placenta previa and it eventually went away.
  • He said it was very common its call a subchronic hemorrhage when implanted in the uterus it probably moved a little which caused a small bleed which is where the blood clot came from. He said most of the time the body absorbs it but in some cases like mine the woman bleeds it out. I bleed for 5 weeks. Yea I just knew the baby was gone I went to the hospital and that dr told me the that he was pretty sure I miscarried then he have me the ultrasound and I was so shocked and started shaking cuz the baby was there and moving it was amazing to c it..

Thank you, ladies. I fell asleep last night. When I got up this morning it was a little worse, but not much. I called & talked to the nurse, she said to rest then call her back at 1:30 & see if it's getting any worse or better. She didn't seem like it was anything to worry about & the dr. isn't in until this afternoon. So I guess I'll know more later.

  • Hope its nothing and just from over doing it this week. I had placenta pervera till I was 14 weeks so I bled the whole first tri and a couple weeks after. My friend had it till I think like 18 or 20 weeks. So just rest and drink lots of fluids!

I'm guessing this is bad news, but it's starting to get mucousy with some small clots. Idk if that can still ber normal or not. :'(
  • Don't feel bad there's nothing they could have done last night. Just call the nurse again.
