@Kimberly4411 I found it at the grocery store. No its not to bad in price at all I just bought a small one to see if he would like it. Going to try tomorrow on the morning. The one I got expires in like 3weeks I think it was
@angie87 did you mix it with his formula or just give a little bit? As bad as this sounds i'd like my daughter (10 m) off formula by next month if thats even possible. I'm pregnant and wont qualify for wic again and i'd like to save the leftover for baby
I haven't gave it to him yet am going to try tomorrow and when I do it will be half formula half goat milk see how he does. I wanted to to it on his next feeding but if it doesn't go well I don't want him to be up all night @kimberly4411
@angie87 When I was struggling with bfing my mom kept telling me to buy a goat. Seriously I can't even have an above ground pool, what would they say about a goat. And who would clean up after it? lol I think I am going to try goats milk where lo is a year and off the boob.
I just bought goat's milk today to use in a recipe for homemade milk for my daughter. It has young coconut water in it to make up for the potassium, hemp milk for omega fats, and some other great things as well. I refuse to use cow's milk and this sounded like a great alternative. It also lists the nutritional breakdown (apparently extremely close to breast milk) and gives different instructions/ingredient amounts based on baby's age and whether or not he/she is breastfed at all or if it will be used as a main formula before solids. I can find and post the link if anyone is interested!
That one seemed a little complicated for me so i thought I'd try this one first. The only thing I'm not adding yet is the spirulina powder because since it's made from algae I've heard ppl can have an allergic reaction to it like shellfish and my daughter is only 9 and 1/2 months. Too young for shellfish i'd love to know what you think @Bahamamama4828
@kjackmom oh ya i wonder why thats listed? spirulina powder will be hard to replace because it has so many vitamins, minerals etc.. lol you would need a few items.
She's still exclusively breastfed but occasionally needs a bottle and we used up my freezer supply. Would that recipe without the spirulina work as an occasional supplemental bottle until she's done nursing?
Eeek. So far she hasn't had allergies to anything and shellfish allergies don't run in our family. Ooo that kinda freaks me out. I could try it though. Just 1/4tsp.
