Lol. It is. It is hardest the first 2 weeks, but it gets easier. When you start. Out if you need support come on here and I can help so can other women. I am bf right now with 10 day old who lives to suck. It us hard but it's the best you can give your baby. Plus it's cheaper lol. Butt of you don't bf. No big deal. Good luck. When you due?
Thank you I will definitely be coming on here for advice since I've never breastfed. I'm scheduled this upcoming Thursday for my c section. I'm so excited but scared at the same time
Good luck to you. It will be fine. C sections are very safe. Lol and Breastfeeding is so rewarding. Are you having a boy or girl? And what names? And is this your first?
Yea I'm really going to try and do my very best to keep it up and I also found this place near me that will help with any questions or concerns I have on breastfeeding. They don't go by income so that helps a lot.
Thats awesome. Like I said support helps and it is a great feeling. But maybe that feeling is just because I just had my baby and feel elated all the time.
this is amazing info on it lol i love it!! it really helped a lot thanks for posting it!!! i had a lot of questions about this stuff and some of these i didnt even think of!!!
Speaking of bf, I want to bf and am a ftm. So when can u start to pump to save and also bf. I would think if baby feeds every 2 hrs, u would never have time to pump. So at about how many weeks or anything can u start to store?
With Adrian I had to pump my first week. Pump when your boobs hurt. I reccomend having one before you give birth. It didnt take me long for my milk supply to come in. I haven't pumped for awhile but she eats a lot now my milk supply can't build up enough to pump. Warm washcloths on your breasts helps release the milk. Also try talking yo a lactation consultant at your hospital. They are a big help. I am no expert, but I read alot and have a lot of help from my mom. I am happy to help anybody who asks.
@krazymomofadrian just a FYI if you get blood on anything, panties etc, peroxide takes it out. Just put it where the blood is wait until it disappears and rinse. It won't beech and you can put it on any fabric. I have saved sheets underwear etc. Great trick!
This is all brilliant. So much better hearing stuff from real people then books. I hate. Baby books they make everything sound so wonderful when sometimes you need to hear the gritty truth lol. 1 tip I was given that I liked, though haven't tried yet, is freezing breast pads to turn them into ice packs. Just put a little water in them. Haven't tried it yet but I thought it founded like a good idea n an easy n cheap way to relieve sore Boobs. Will let you know how it works out once I've tried it.
I have also heard that. Especially if you are not breastfeeding or are producing too much. I also know that fresh green cabbage leaves help decrease milk flow. Take two leaves scrunch them up and put them in your bra. @bambi_bump They release an enzyme that helps decrease the flow. No idea how, my doc told me and also read it in one of my baby books lol. Sometimes they are helpful, but like you said they can't tell you everything.
