  • I'm from minnesota and it's 18. I thought legal age was 18 everywhere in the US lol
  • Again,If you have your stuff together.and you take care of business.if you have a job,a car, providing for your baby, and not expecting your parents to do it then you're not in the category that most people talk about.for the ones that take care of business, you shouldn't be quick to say "o I have this and that, and I do this and that,I don't depend on such and such"thats good.we aren't talking about you then.a guilty person speaks the longest.basically,if you do what you need to do then don't get defensive,we're not talking about you.
  • @BlessedMom_2x The only problem with that is that, yea you can treat them like an adult, but that doesnt make them one and it doesnt mature them in any way. And that certainly doesnt make them step up and take responsibility.
  • Yea me too,I know 16 is the age of "consent" but not being an adult.

  • @huneybee Whoa! I never said anyone was and idiot! In any way at all! The difference in being 17 and getting pregnant on accident, thats already done, theres no changing it. But at 17 and ttc. That can be talked about and maybe pushed back for a year or two.

  • @BlessedMom_2X Well thats good :) Im really not trying to say anything bad about teen moms, my mom was one, and im one to 2 angels. I just dont understand the ttc at such a young age( i guess im mainly pointing this at age 14).

  • @lil_buggie_3 I agree with you. Like i have said im in no way trying to bash any teen mom in any way. I am a teen mom to an angel, my mom was a teen mom to me, my godsons mom is a teen mom.
  • At that age,you can be there physically and emotionally but baby needs more than that.I remember one person said"all babies need is love and cuddles",you can't love or cuddle your baby out of being hungry.you can't love or cuddle your baby to where clothes just appear on their backs.you can't love or cuddle them to their appts.you can't love or cuddle your baby out of being sick.
  • @BlessedMom_2x no I'm not.I'm talking about ones who ttc and have no plans what so ever. You say you have everything together.that's good.but teens who don't have nothing and ttc need to reconsider until they have things together.if you're handling business then we aren't talking about you.
  • Yeah, can't say I agree with ttc at such a young age. I'm 19, married, and not living with my parents. We have our own car (a birthday gift from my mom actually, but that's a long story) and my husband has had 3 children before our baby all of which he raised for at least some time. He seems to have bad luck with having babies with women who split with them after a while. :(
Point being, I'm not offended by someone posting something like, "your still a kid, please wait to have babies" but when someone posts something like "damn, what's up with this generation? They're having kids but they can't even spell!" That f##king irritates me. Don't judge a whole generation of people on a few extremes. I was so bored in high school that I dropped out so I could finish my education at college where I graduated on time and with over a year of free college credit. And I can spell and do math. ;)

Jeez, didn't really mean for that to become a rant, but I get fired up. End rant :D
  • I'm the same, I was a teen mom too I'm 21 I have one going on 5 one going on 3 & one that is a week old, I would never change anything in my life but I do wish that I waited...my sister was 13 when she got pregnant but there is a very difficult story behind that, that I won't discuss it was extremely hard for her & to see her struggle I was very mature for my age I had to raise 3 sisters make sure they were fed bathed, homework was done & was ready for school, & I know I wouldn't have been able to handle an infant at that age. To all the teen moms...congrats on your little blessings they changed my life for the better, but for the young young teens please wait trust me its not an easy road. I'm not much but I'm here if anyone wants to talk.

  • @lil_buggie_3 If it happens, I will support anyone for trying to do the right thing. Its just so heart breaking that children themselves are purposely trying to have a baby...
  • 14 is ridiculous.. but at 17 u can get a job ur license and graduate highschool all the same as 18.. I wont disturb ur drama free post anymore bcuz I would never want to be the cause of ANY kind of drama at all I hate it..srry u feel the need to bring it up that's all.
  • I agree with you. You put it in the nicest way possible...
  • I had my first at fifteen but not on purpose. But I was already living with his dad and had my own income. I got my ged and got a job but there were many struggles. I refused to abort or give my baby up. I figured I made him ill take care of him. But I had to live in A shelter at one point. Deal with school and work and parenting. It was very hard. I love my son and it was worth it but if someone at fifteen were to tell me they were ttc I would shake them up and tell them to wait! Its not that easy. I am with the belief if its a surprise ok congratulations here's some advice. If you did it on purpose well I would just ask what is your plan?
  • If you have a job,a license, all of that.then cool.you're not apart of what we're talking about....but if you have nothing for yourself and you're ttc then that's when we speak what we're speaking.some teens grow up after having a child, some teens don't grow up,but if you're the ones that grow up then you have no need to get offended because you're not in that category.

  • I think those post are just meant to start drama
  • @MommyofAngels I've said that so many times.I don't see why some teens defend ones that don't have anything for themselves??
  • @excitedforbaby I dont understand it either, I fully support any teen mom that is willing to step up and take responsibility over there actions.
  • @MommyofAngels and I've seen people just say "finish school and get a job,and be stable" that's really the best advice you can give someone.I don't think anyone on here is gonna sugar coat anything about this.
  • @excitedforbaby no, i dont see that happening at all
