@mrsrocketfield1221 Holy cow!!!! I totally missed your pregnancy announcement! CONGRATULATIONS! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU! :)
-
My pediatrician said the color they are at 6 months is what they will permanently be. With my first, they were brown with a grey haze for a week, then they turned brown and have been ever since. My second is 2.5 weeks old and they are still blue/gre…

Personally, I had no sex drive for months. I felt the same way she is telling you she feels. For me, it was just being overwhelmed, exhausted, insecure with my body, and I guess you could call it being in "mommy mode"...the child takes pri…

I gained 25 lbs during my pregnancy. I'm 8 days PP and I'm exclusively breastfeeding. I'm down 16 lbs as of this morning...only 9 lbs left until I'm at my prepregnancy weight :)

Yay!!! Good luck!

My dd sleeps in my arms or in her bouncy seat during the day and in her crib at night. We started that routine as soon as we came home from the hospital and did the same with our first child.

Thank you everyone!

***update*** Carmela Delora was born at 8:04 a.m. on 10/25 weighing 7#4oz and 20.5 inches long. Well, my c-section went pretty well. After my c-section my on told me she could tell I had been laboring the night before b/c my uterus was paper thin, …

@tinka1326 Oh wow...Haha...that was fast! Congratulations on your baby and a super fast delivery. So castor oil might work after all! Haha!
-
I'm not sure...I just know that my OB told me to wait at least 9 months between pregnancies/18 months between deliveries after my csection to ensure adequate healing time. Have you tested yet?
-
@tinka1326 thank you...I just looked it up! I hope your baby comes soon! A week overdue is like torture.
-
They actually told me to call the hospital (l&d) and see what time they wanted ne to come in.
-
@kdaniels isn't it frustrating?! How far along are you? I should have added that my OB agreed to let me try a VBAC if I went into labor on my own before my c-section date. Labor is looking pretty unlikely for me since I'm not progressing. I have ton…

Me too! I'm 38+6, scheduled for my second csection on Tuesday and at my OB appt on Wed I was not dilated and only 50% effaced :(
-
@vtmamajuju ...and the itching is pretty awful, but once you get some meds to treat it, it will go away. It's only temporary. I think mine lasted for about a half hour before the meds kicked in and stopped it.
-
@vtmamajuju Yes, any type of spinal puncture can cause a spinal headache. For example, a spinal tap; epidural; or spinal block can cause them. There is a 30% chance of getting one following these procedures and they usually resolve on their own with…

I had an epidural with my first. It only covered my right side and not my left. They tried giving me additional medicine to see if that would help, but it didn't. They tried to reposition the epidural and that didn't work. I did end up getting Nubai…

Sounds like plug only b/c now blood is in it, but my bloody show was more watery like you described only it was mixed with bright red and old brown blood...and it was a ton...it dripped down my legs and made a puddle on the floor. I had dd 2 days la…

Congratulations! You did it!!!!!! I'm so happy everything went smoothly! Yaaaaaay!!!!
-
The procedure for an epidural and spinal block is approximately the same, but generally an epidural catheter is left in your back, so that you can get a constant infusion of numbing medication for as long as your labor lasts, whereas a spinal is jus…

I got mine at 3 cm. It only covered my right side and not my left side. The pain from the contractions was excruciating, so they tried to reposition it and that didn't work. They tried to give me a couple bolus doses (one time larger dose) and that …

I'm not sure, but I would just call your doc if you are concerned about it.
-
Just try to relax and enjoy this quiet time before the baby arrives. He/she will come when they're ready...don't exhaust yourself with all that work...just try to take in your last few weeks of time to yourself. Take it from me, when was 36 weeks I …

***update*** I had my OB appt this morning and I'm not dilated and only 50% effaced. I haven't had any major false labor sessions since Saturday :( I've only been crampy with random contractions. A VBAC is not looking good for me :(
-
How long was it from the time of your last feeding to pumping?
-
Sounds like it is from sex, but just watch it.
-
Unfortunately, there's really nothing they can do until you are in active labor. Prodromal/false labor and braxton hicks are all normal in pregnancy as well as aches and pains. If the pain meds didn't help, they could try something different. Maybe …

I'm scheduled for my second c-section a week from today. I've also heard the second time is better. Mainly b/c the first one is almost always after laboring for hours and being so exhausted going into it, but this time you just to in and gave the ba…

@amab13 you don't need to remove the air from the bags anymore. I thought you needed to as well nb/c that's was what my mom told me, but after the pediatrician saw me doing it he told me they do not need the air removed anymore. I went hone and read…
