Well in my personal opinion i see nothing wrong with takin a couple hits off of it. I mean it help with being sore. Not being able to eat or drink. Sickness and makes you able to sleep. I've known ppl who have smoked while pregnant and there children are the smartest children I've seen because its stimulates there brain at a young age. Just because you smoke while pregnant don't mean your child will be an addict or you will smoke pot around them. But think how much worse Cig smoke is. You smoke way more of them a day then you would pot and many smoke Cig around the baby after birth where as a mothers who smoke pot will more then likely not do it around the child. My family has had drug problems and none was cuz of pot. You are not addicted to it. Its all in your head. You will not have withdrawbackals from not having pot.
I was a daily pot smoker me and my hubby were...we both decided that we would stop and we did we stop.as soon as we found out I was pregnant we smoked our last couple of blunts and that was it...its our first baby and we only want what's best for it...so 6 more months till I smoke again..p.s it would really help me out to sleep cuz I've always had trouble sleeping and it would also help me out a lot with my periods I get very heavy nasty painful periods but since I won't be having those ill be fine
O one more thing lol there isn't a section in the dictionary for like weed baby syndrome like alcohol ..hmmm I'm gonna go with weed is better than alotta things out there other people are doing
Reading through these comments I see lots of people all for alcohol but against mj (both while not prego) but personally I think weed is way safer than alcohol. I mean wjen does a doc ever prescribe booze for anything?? How much damage does alcohol do to your body vs. mj? I'm not for any drugs or alcohol while prego btw, just saying being stoned is not nearly as bad as being drunk imo. But to each their own, I'm not here to give anyone a hard time or judge. I wish everyone a healthy, happy pregnancy and beyond
Pregnant mothers who smoke marijuana are also the mothers who have neglected other aspects of their pregnancy because they are so busy trying to rationalize their actions in order to easy their guilt. I've seen it happen. In my opinion no one in their right frame of mind puts there unborn child in harms way because the evidence is inconclusive.
Ok ladies I need educating here. My ex was a weed smoker. He seemed addicted to me he got v agitated when he couldn't smoke. However he used to smoke it with tobacco so he would break up a cog and add the weed to it. So was it the tobacco he was addicted too and as we know tobacco is bad for baby (nicotine, tar cyanide etc ) dies this mean the pregnant pot users smoke it pure with no tobacco?
Majority, yes just smoke the weed alone. And some people have different reactions to weed. One may be the happiest person on earth and chill even if they dont have some & others will be reckless with it and turn angry when they ran out. Kinda like alcohol, everyone can react diff to it .I believe any smoke is bad for the baby though, just my thought I would make whoever it is wash their hands& change their clothes before touching my newborn no matter if it was just cig smoke
I am going to go back to my original statement that I believe any foreign substance that you put in your body has the potential to effect your unborn child. That's not saying it always will or that it always wont. Everyone has their own opinions and that's their right. Personally, I would never do it nor do I support smoking anything while your prego. If you do decide to do something that could potentially harm your baby talk to your Dr about it and get the facts. The only one that it effects is that precious unborn baby.
@fwee. I do what's best for my child and children. I just think its wrong that ppl only think of themselves and not what's best for that unborn child. Do you know how many ppl out the are trying their hardest to concieve or trying to adopt cause they can't have children at all and you have mothers that are doing drugs with their unborn or even with their born children around or getting abortions? Seriously. we know that being pregnant is no walk in the park and it sucks going through the change of everything and the sickness and not being able to sleep and the pains but we did that to OURSELVES. Why should an innocent child have to suffer? And where I'm from if you test positive at all for any drug then CPS takes that child. What a great start to life getting thrown into a foster home. Makes sence to me. And as for me minding my own buisness. Well I am.
@almost4 girl you and your kids have been through so much. I'm glad it finally got taken care of but that is so long to be without your babys. You are a strong women. I know u had no choice but to be strong but that's such a horrible thing to have happen to you. And now to have to live in fear that if someone calls cps again they take them away... I have friends that just have people call cps on them just because they had a fight and wanted to get back at them. I'm so sorry hun. All that for nothing.
@almost4. Your a strong person and I'm really sorry that you have to live your life in fear that someone might try and take your children from you again. No mother nor child deserves to be apart. I hope and pray for the best for you and your family. Keep your head up and smile.
Yeah I realize that being pregnant is a miracle and that not all people are able to have children but that's life and that's how the cookie crumbles. Seriously go educate teenagers or something if you feel this strongly about it. If an adult is making this decision you have no other option to be an adult about it and leave your fat nose out of it. Go donate all of your money to the children in adoption homes or do something else that will make a difference other than just trying to make someone mad on an internet forum.
Foster care a great start? Seriously? I've seen Foster home with atrocious living conditions. Most not all but most Foster parents I've seen do it for money and neglect the children. I would never want to see a child go in Foster care when all the mother does is smoke pot but keeps a great living environment for the child. That's just down right wrong!
My doctor knows I smoke ang he has no problem with it me and my child are extremely healthy.and I was born perfectly fine and my mom smoked throughout her entire family.my little brother and cousins are also very healthy kids and teens
i was in 2 foster homes 4 year span.. one home was w/ a child molester.. they had six lil girls living in the home.. my lil foster sis was being messed w/ so i took her and my real lil sister and ran.. they returned my lil sisters back and sent me to a new home.. long story short the foster sis ended up being raped compleatly 2 years later.. cps has many loop whole.. thay let any freak as long as they dont have a record be a foster paren.. the next home was better.. but my foste mom was a pill popper.. is bad cuz we were there because my mom was a user and thats why we were taken
